International Relations Commission (IRC)
Building Partnerships for Global Impact
The International Relations Commission (IRC) is dedicated to strengthening the global presence of the International Police Association (IPA) by establishing and maintaining meaningful relationships with international organisations. These partnerships are built on shared values, mutual benefit, and the pursuit of collaboration that supports the IPA’s mission.
Our Purpose
Under the leadership of Chairperson Oliver Hoffmann, the IRC plays a central role in:
- Promoting the IPA within international arenas
- Developing and nurturing formal relationships with institutions, networks, and agencies of common interest
- Exploring opportunities to form new strategic partnerships
- Enhancing IPA’s visibility, credibility, and influence on the global stage
Strategy and Activities
Each year, the IRC defines a strategic action plan outlining its goals and areas of focus. These include:
- Supporting the IPA’s recognition and engagement with international bodies
- Coordinating joint initiatives and mutually beneficial projects
- Representing the IPA at selected international events
- Leading relevant public relations activities linked to global relations
- Compiling and disseminating the UN Quadrennial Report to ensure transparency and accountability in international cooperation
Looking Forward
The IRC is an essential part of the IPA’s outward-facing efforts, ensuring that our global community remains well-connected and aligned with the evolving priorities of international organisations and institutions.
As we move forward, the IRC will continue to foster impactful collaborations that reflect the IPA’s core values, expand its reach, and build bridges across borders—true to our motto:
Servo per Amikeco – Service through Friendship.
