IPA International Photo Competition 2025 – Results

Following the 68th IPA World Congress held in Kraków, Poland (16–21 September 2025), we are delighted to announce the results of the IPA International Photo Competition 2025.

This year’s competition was truly global, attracting nearly 500 entries from IPA members across 32 countries. Participants competed in two categories: Open and Police – submitting works that ranged from spontaneous snapshots to striking photographic artistry.

Judging was carried out by an international panel whose experience and cultural diversity added great value to the process:

  • Harry Mootoosamy (Mauritius) – Portrait artist, photographer, and designer

  • Janet Nyanchoka Nyamwamu (Kenya) – Journalist and visual storyteller

  • Marek Krupa (Poland) – Official photographer of the Polish National Police

  • Klaus D. Fahlbusch (Germany) – Internationally exhibited photographer

  • Aneta Sobieraj (Poland) – Police officer and award-winning photographer

The Grand Prize was awarded to a powerful image depicting police officers rescuing an animal in life-threatening danger — a moving testament to courage, compassion, and humanity in policing.
