Host an IBZ Gimborn Seminar – Expand Access to World-Class IPA Training
The International Police Association (IPA) offers its members the chance to bring the high standards of IBZ Castle Gimborn training to their own countries through a structured Off-Site Seminar Hosting Programme.
This initiative allows IPA sections to organise and host certified IBZ Gimborn seminars outside of Germany—while maintaining the same level of academic quality, professionalism, and international collaboration that defines Gimborn.
What Is the Purpose?
IBZ Gimborn is the IPA’s official education centre. This procedure allows IPA sections to host seminars at alternative venues, making Gimborn’s world-class training more accessible globally.

Responsibilities at a Glance
IBZ Gimborn Will:
- Provide and manage expert speakers
- Handle registration and issue certificates
- Conduct evaluations and support seminar promotion
Hosting IPA Section Will:
- Organise venue, logistics, and on-site coordination
- Cover costs through fees or sponsorships (no direct funding from Gimborn)
- Promote locally and help publish participant reports
- Ensure a minimum of 15 participants
- Manage cancellations and related expenses
IEB Financial Support
The IEB may contribute €150 per participant (1 per IPA section) toward eligible off-site seminars.
- Max: €10,350 total (based on 69 sections)
- Application deadline: 31 July of the year before the event
- Only two seminars per year are eligible for funding
Promotion & Participation
- Events promoted via the IPA website, newsletter, social media & direct invitations
- Seminars must be advertised at least 6 months in advance
- Opened by the IPA International President, Vice President, or Chair of the Professional Commission (in person or online)
