Tourtiere is a mainly French Canadian double crust meat pie. It was brought to Canada
in the 17th Century and was named after the vessel it was cooked in. The pie was
originally baked with wild game but is now made with a mixture of port, beef or veal. It
is traditional served around the Christmas and New Year holidays.
