Description:
Located 60 km from Poznań, it is situated on the shores of the picturesque Lake Chrzypskie in the heart of the Sierakowski Landscape Park, in the Wielkopolska Land of 100 Lakes. Łężeczki is a village located in the Międzychód district, which lies in the southern part of the Noteć Forest. Its area is over 45% covered with pine forests, which encourage mushroom picking in autumn and sleigh rides in winter.
A characteristic feature that distinguishes the Międzychód district on the tourist map of Wielkopolska is the over 100 lakes in the strongly undulating, post-glacial landscape of the Międzychód-Sierakowski Lakeland. Here you can find lakes with an area of over 300 hectares and very deep (up to 45 m deep). The beautiful landscape is under special protection in the district - a large area is occupied by the Sierakowski Landscape Park.
Already in the 1920s, the area around Międzychód was advertised as the “Land of 100 Lakes” – a dream destination for anglers and water sports enthusiasts. At the Łężeczki viewing point, apart from beautiful panoramas, there is a mushroom-shaped monument worth admiring, unveiled in the first minutes of 2001 as the first monument in the world in the new millennium.
