Location
The IPA Madeira house is located 25 Kms from the Cristiano Ronaldo – Madeira airport. On the Portuguese Section website (www.ipa-portugal.pt), under Madeira Delegation you can see how to get to the house. From your arrival at the airport until your departure you can enjoy all the natural beauty that Madeira Island has to offer, never forgetting to visit Porto Moniz and Seixal, situated in the northern part of the Island. On the south side of the island you can visit Caniçal, Santana, Pico das Pedras and Pico Ruivo, where you can go on hikes in the middle of nature (Caldeirão Verde, Caldeirão do Inferno and Pico do Areeiro). Cabo Girão, Curral das Freiras, is 15 minutes from Casa IPA. The Botanical Garden and the Lavradores market in the centre of Funchal are places not to be missed. When you go to Monte you can make the descent to Funchal in the typical baskets of the region. The Madeira Shopping Centre is 5 minutes away from the house.
Accommodation
The IPA Madeira house consists of 3 floors. On the ground floor is the main office of the IPA Madeira Delegation, an equipped kitchen for small meals and a bedroom with private bathroom, adapted to people with reduced mobility. On the first floor there are 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms with private bathroom and 2 bedrooms with shared bathroom.
On the ground floor there is the common area where you can find the living room with TV and a space where you can enjoy the wonderful view over the sea and the mountains (you can watch the sunrise and sunset while enjoying Madeira wine).
