IPA Japan Section will once again host the Japan Seminar this year following the success of last year’s programme.
The seminar will take place in Osaka, Japan, from 11 to 14 October 2026.
This seminar is designed to provide participants with a global perspective, practical knowledge, and valuable experience in international cooperation and investigation, as well as the skills necessary to work on the international stage in the future.
The programme will include lectures and discussions on Japanese policing, community policing, organised crime control, cyber security, traffic safety measures, and international police cooperation. Participants will also have the opportunity to visit the Osaka Prefectural Police.
Eligibility
Participation is limited to IPA members who are currently serving police officers under 50 years of age.

The number of international participants is limited to five places and applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Applicants should complete the application form and email it to IPA Japan Section at rsuzuki@rose.plala.or.jp together with a copy of their IPA membership card.
The deadline for applications is 20 August 2026.

Day 4 – Wednesday, 14 October
- Historical excursion to Osaka Castle
- Courtesy visit to the Osaka Prefectural Police

Accommodation
IPA Japan will fully cover accommodation costs for the three-night stay from 11 to 14 October, including breakfast. All other expenses remain the responsibility of the participants.
