Green IPA – Plant a Tree

The Socio-Cultural Commission (S.C.C.) Green IPA Project Team proudly invites all Sections worldwide to participate in the global environmental campaign:

🌱 “PLANT A TREE – GREEN IPA”

In celebration of Earth Day – Wednesday, 22 April 2026, and following two years of impactful environmental initiatives carried out across the globe, this worldwide campaign aims to unite IPA members, their families, and local communities in a shared commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable action.

📅 Event Period

22 April 2026 – 17 May 2026

Tree planting activities will take place across all IPA Sections during this period.

🔔 Important Notice:
Due to seasonal and weather variations, Sections may organise their planting initiatives at alternative suitable times throughout the year, including in conjunction with other local celebrations or related environmental events.

🎯 The Mission

The objective is simple yet powerful:

Every IPA member plants at least one tree in their region.

Sections are encouraged to:

• Partner with governmental and non-governmental organisations

• Collaborate with schools, colleges, and local communities

• Promote environmental awareness and sustainability

• Encourage long-term care and stewardship of planted trees

There is no limit to the number of seedlings planted — the more, the better.
Each Section may set its own participation targets.

🏷 Event Motto

“PLANT A TREE – GREEN IPA”

Sections may:

• Print the motto in English and their national language

• Produce event merchandise such as:

  • T-shirts

  • Banners

  • Badges

  • Promotional materials

• Use the new IPA emblem alongside the official motto

📊 Reporting Requirements

Following your event, please submit:

• Number of participating members

• Number of trees planted

• Local organisations/groups involved

• Photos and videos (via WeTransfer)

A global highlight video will be produced and presented at the upcoming IPA World Congress in Sri Lanka.

🏆 Recognition & Awards

To celebrate outstanding contributions:

• 🌿 Two Sections with the highest number of seedlings planted and greatest community impact will be formally recognised.

• 🎁 The winning Sections will receive a short stay in Montenegro — proudly known as the world’s first ecological state.

• 👥 Special recognition will also be awarded to the Section with the highest number of participants.
