On behalf of the Socio-Cultural Commission – GREEN IPA Project, we are pleased to invite all members of the International Police Association to take part in this important environmental initiative.
In celebration of World Environment Day (5 June), Sections are encouraged to organise beach clean-up activities during the period 1–30 June 2026. This initiative also aligns with the United Nations “ACT NOW” campaign, promoting individual action on climate change and sustainability.
Beach pollution caused by plastic waste, fishing gear, and other materials continues to harm our environment. Through this initiative, we aim to raise awareness, protect our coastlines, and strengthen the spirit of friendship within the IPA community.
IPA Branches are encouraged to:
Select a suitable location and meeting point
Organise local clean-up activities
Encourage members to bring gloves, reusable water bottles, and appropriate clothing
Following the clean-up, Sections may wish to organise a small social gathering to celebrate their efforts and strengthen connections.
We kindly ask all Sections to share photos, videos, and reports (via WeTransfer) to: chair-scc@ieb-ipa.org by 10 July 2026.
Please note that activities may vary depending on local conditions, and Sections may organise their events at alternative times if required.
Let us work together for a cleaner, greener world.
