This advanced certification program is designed to acquaint participants with operational use of the ASP Tactical Baton, Tactical Restraints and Performance Flashlights and train them to conduct ASP Basic Certification (ABC) Programs. AIC Training includes all information and techniques provided in the ABC Program, with the addition of ASP Instructional techniques. Successful completion of the AIC Program certifies that the individual officer has met a competency-based standard of knowledge, has mastered performance skills, and has the ability to instruct ABC classes.
NEW FOR 2025–ASP OC Instructor Certification (OCIC): In response to many requests from the law enforcement community, ASP is pleased to introduce its first-ever OC (pepper spray) Instructor course. Designed and refined by police officers and professional law enforcement trainers, this comprehensive program covers the science of OC, body mechanics, defensive tactics, subject control and more. No OC exposure is required for the class; students will be provided with inert versions of ASP’s Defender LE aerosol canisters for safe but realistic training.
OCIC will be offered as an add-on to the standard 3-day ASP Instructor Certification.
