Incidents of violence in public spaces are noticeably increasing and pose considerable challenges for the police, regulatory authorities and emergency services. Physical assaults, knife attacks and spontaneous escalations in everyday situations lead to an increased risk for emergency services.
This practice-oriented seminar provides in-depth knowledge about the causes, triggers and dynamics of violence and shows ways in which de-escalation and self-protection can be effectively implemented in the field. Participants learn to recognize dangerous situations at an early stage, to use verbal and non-verbal conflict strategies in a targeted manner and to remain confident in critical moments.
A special focus is placed on realistic training sequences: In role plays, partner exercises and scenarios, typical conflict situations in public spaces are played out, defense techniques against knife and body attacks are trained, and body language and distance behavior are specifically trained. The aim of the seminar is to strengthen the confidence and self-protection competence of emergency and rescue forces – for safe, professional and confident action in challenging operational situations.
